The capture plate is the heart of the SuperGlide system — it's what makes the hitch automatically slide during turns and return to center. Each capture plate is designed to match a specific trailer king pin box, ensuring precise engagement and smooth automatic operation.
When you couple your trailer, the king pin engages the capture plate. During turns, the capture plate guides the hitch head along the rails, providing the automatic sliding action that gives your short bed truck the clearance it needs. When you straighten out, the capture plate returns the hitch to center position.
