The #2400 ISR Series SuperLite solves three things at once: it makes hookup simple, keeps full strength, and stays light enough to lift by yourself. It does it by turning your fifth wheel's king pin into a ball-mount you can line up from the driver's seat. ISR stands for Industry Standard Rails, the rails it mounts to.
King pin in, ball out
A king pin adapter clamps onto the trailer's king pin with four widely-spaced set screws, no drilling, on and off in minutes, and replaces the usual hitch plate, rocker arm, and crossmember with a single upside-down ball mount. A funneled coupler on the hitch base catches the ball and guides it home.
An arched-bridge base
High-grade American steel gives the #2400 its 20K (GTW) strength without aluminum's weight. The base borrows the arched bridge, a shape that has distributed loads for centuries, with inward-slanting ribs that spread stress evenly while keeping the whole hitch to just 52 lbs. One person can lift it.
Line it up from the cab
The funnel guides the ball in no matter your backup angle, so you do not have to nail the alignment. The receiver adjusts to 15-7/8", 17-3/8", or 18-7/8" of height, and the tight fit keeps the trailer from bumping as you drive.
A remote latch handle
A remote handle works the coupler latch so you never climb into the bed. It is spring-loaded, so you see and feel it lock, with no guessing the way a cable leaves you.
Clean bed in five minutes
The #2400 mounts to Industry Standard Rails, and on our SuperRail system (part of Clean Bed Technology) the whole hitch lifts out in about five minutes with no tools: turn the posts, pull the pins, done. It can also move to a factory puck (OE) truck with our OE Series rail adapters or a center-mount cam-action ball.
