Short-bed trucks run out of room between the cab and the trailer the moment you turn, at a gas station, a campground, anywhere tight. The SuperGlide is PullRite's answer: a fully automatic sliding fifth-wheel hitch that gets out of the way on its own, with no levers to throw and no getting out of the truck. The Traditional Series mounts to PullRite's traditional rail system.
The slide happens by itself
A quick-connect capture plate mounts to the trailer's king pin and stops it from rotating on its own. As you turn, the hitch head slides from over the axle toward the tailgate, opening up clearance for the cab automatically, every time, then back to center as you straighten out. Manual sliders make you stop, get out, and throw a lever before each turn. The SuperGlide just lets you drive.
A hitch plate that locks itself
PullRite's hitch plate locks onto the trailer automatically, with no safety pins to fumble for. Every model carries it except the SuperLite. You hook up by backing under the pin, and a simple check by feel tells you it is set.
Weight over the axle, less sway
Sliding the trailer back to center over the axle when you are rolling keeps the weight where your truck wants it. That means less stress on the truck and less sway from crosswinds and passing semis.
Two ratings, room to grow
The Traditional Series comes in the #4100 (16,000 lbs, GTW) and the #4400 (20,000 lbs). If you later move to Industry Standard Rails (ISR), you can keep towing. Our ISR Series uses thicker, higher-grade steel than imported rails, and our removable rail systems (Clean Bed Technology) clear the bed when the hitch comes out.
